Step-by-Step Guide to Creating a Google Business Profile: Just follow these steps.
- Search on Google: Type Google My Business.
- Click on “Get Listed on Google- Google Business Profile.”
- On the right side, click on “Get Started.”
- Now, enter your Business Name (the name of your shop or business).
- Choose your Business Type (tick the option that fits your business).
- Enter your Business Category (Example: School, Shop, Coaching etc.).
- Enter your Business Address: Choose your Country (e.g., India) Street Address: Enter your lane, flat or shop number, PIN code, and State. Make sure the address is correct and complete.
- If other businesses with similar names exist, Google will show them.
- If your business name is unique, click next. Otherwise, select ” None of these” and continue.
- A map will appear- Google will auto-detect your address from the PIN code. Just confirm the location on the map.
- Now enter your Mobile Number (so customers can contact you). If you have a website, enter the link.
- You will see “Put your business on the map”- tick both boxes and continue.
- Add your business Hours: Enter opening and closing times. Mark “Closed” for weekly off.
- Now, add a short or detailed business description- This is very important. (Google uses this to show your business to the right people).
- Upload Photos of your store, shop, or business.
- Skip the Rs. 20,000 free ad credit (If you don’t require). It’s optional.
- It may ask for a custom email- simply skip.
- Finally, you’ll see: “Your edits will be visible once you’re verified.” Click Continue.
- It’s Done! Google usually verifies the listing in 24-48 hours, sometimes even sooner.
